»	Since moving to Salcombe in 1991, resident artist Bobbi Fulcher-Smith has been inspired by the West Country’s seductive muse and has been painting it’s outstanding beauty for nearly two decades.

»	Her work covers a wide variety of subjects and styles which include local scenes, privately commissioned views and abstract compositions based on the surrounding landscape.

Currently painting locally in Devon and Cornwall, she finds her inspiration in everything from intimate compositions of everyday objects to the more varied textures, colours and atmospheric light found in the wider environment. Her great love of the South Hams is most evident in her renditions of verdant landscapes and glittering seas, unadulterated by man and dominated by romantic skies. As a talented colourist many of her paintings have a poetic, dream like pallet while others are luminous, sun drenched and provocative in their candid use of colour. Her recent abstract paintings are a conceptual response to the state of flux imposed on the rural landscape, representing fields, changing pattern and the passing of time.

Bobbi’s paintings are exhibited through solo, group and open exhibitions and are collected mainly by private individuals who understand and share her passion for painting.
